The officer is no gentleman

We've all been warned that our internet persona may not be safe for work. Big brother is watching (or at least human resources). Yet, it seems like people always do stupid things online, only to be shocked when they are caught. Gothamist had a post today about a felon that beat the rap for posession of a weapon by using an arresting officer's MySpace and Facebook status against him.

Apparently, this genuis cop  on the day of the arrest set his Myspace mood to " Devious" and his facebook status to " Vaughan is watching Training Day to brush up on proper police procedure as the trial approached. He then commented on an arrest video " If he wanted to tune him up some, he should have delayed cuffing him..if your wre going to hit a cuffed suspect, at least get you money's warth cause now he's goign to get disciplined for a faggot ass love tap."

Now, none of this did him in of course. The judge finally became suspicious when he noticed the crooked cop had photoshopped the assailant out of his birthday facebook photos, wrote drunk rants on his facebook wall, and spammed his myspace page with links to bad 90's music videos illustrating the errors of his ways. Oh wait, that was me.

I kid.
