Infinite Photograph is a global project building a portrait of Earth seen through the eyes of ordinary people, a promotional effort for National Geographic’s MyShot initiative. Think of it as crowdsourcing meets collage meets environmental sensibility. The mosaic is composed of 300,000 photos of the natural world pulled from archive images. And each shot is pretty amazing. It makes the natural world seem like something worth conserving without the hard sell.
The next step requires mass collaboration. National Geographic is hoping to create several catalogue images in sub categories like water, trees, and animals. And photographers are asked to contribute. Submit your photo here.
