Yesterday slate had an article about the increasing prevalence of full body scanners a.k.a nudie scanners. At first, a few scanners at airports were upgraded to millimeter-wave technology. They were only used as a"voluntary alternative" to a more invasive physical pat-down, and only for those chosen for a secondary screening. Two months ago, the transportation security adminstration decided to test this technology at six aiports for all passengers going through metal detectors. And now, the scanners are going nationwide.
I don't know about this. I guess it's better then a full rubdown by a security guard, but I rather keep my goodie bits to myself. Thank you.
