A recent U.S. House of Representatives bill proposed by Rep. Linda T. Sanches and 14 others could make it a federal felony, to use your blog, social media like MySpace and Facebook, or any other web media " To Cause Substantial Emotional Distress" through "Severe, Repeated, and Hostile Speech." Some of you many think this is not a big deal, but one must read the fine print. Also being considered in this ban on severe, repeated, and hostile speech:
Radio announcers, those who experience an excessive amount of road rage, drunk text messagers, the homeless guy on the corner of union square, soccer moms, Your Mom, The State of New Jersey, that lady on the 5 train that wants to know what you're looking at, the man on the five train that says nothing much, comedians, bootcamp instructors, Rock of Love girls, Flavor of Love Girls, Rock of Love/Flavor of Lover Girls now on Charm School and still not yet charming, half of New York, the scale, the Soup Natzi, Red Sox Fans, Yankee Fans, fans of any sporting activity, gangster rappers, talk show hosts, born-agains, whiggas, poets, drunk people, and you.
