I love theater, but musicals are a little hard for me to swallow. I like a little snark with my sing-alongs and musicals are just too peppy for the likes of me. So I was tickled pink when I heard this one.
Heathers, one of my favorites, is coming to the stage in 2010. Now this may very well kill my love for this cult classic, or it may just be the best thing ever. Imagine the songs: teen suicide don't do it, i love my dead gay son, chaos is what killed the dinosaurs darling, bulimia is so 87, our love is god let's go get a slushie, so many great lyrics. Including this sweet line...
Who will play Marta Dumptruck? Will Ohio be up in arms? Should they sell promotional bottled water? I'm afraid if I'm this excited, this show may never make it on too broadway, and I will yet again be subjected to another season of the little mermaid.
